Tatler's Schools Guide 2010
Spread across three smart houses in Eccleston Square, this new entry in our guide accepts children almost as soon as they start talking. Enthusiastic Head Paul David has been at the helm for eight years - 'long enough to think I've made a difference' - and under his charge the school has been extended three times to allow for growing numbers. He puts a big emphasis on life skills, believing 'they will carry children further than any Latin they learn'.
Music is blooming under the tutelage of Mr Simon, who teaches the Kodaly method to help pupils learn pitch and tone from an early age. A whole dedicated music floor has been added in the senior building, with five practice rooms and snazzy composing equipment.
Such a central-London location means a lack of on-site sports facilities, but a new dining hall and science rooms are to be built next summer.
