Young Art Competition
During the Autumn Term Years Two to Eight have been working on the theme "I Remember....". As pupils developed their design ideas, which sprang from their imagination and memory, they were also asked to consider composition, viewpoint scale, quality of line. colour, texture and tone.
The Young Art competition is run as a Charity which aims to raise money for children with cancer. Children are encouraged to enter the competition by sending in their art work along with a contribution of £1, the idea being "children helping children".
The winning art works have now been selected on will be exhibited in the Royal College of Art, 11-13th May. The art work will then be sold and the highest bid wins, although parents will have first refusal. The art works will also be reproduced into cards and posters which will be available to order.

Charity Week at Eaton Square School
This week is Charity Week at Eaton Square School. This year we are supporting the charity Childhood First which works to enable children and young people recover from severe relational trauma, to enjoy life and achieve their potential. They do this through the provision of theraputic residential care, treatment and education, together with family and network support.
Childhood First aim to provide a world-leading therapeutic educational service at each of their four residential communities. Thornby Hall in Northampton has served them well for nearly twenty five years, but the existing facilities do not reach the requirements and standards which today's children and teachers need. The money you raise will support them in offering substantially improved facilities and a wider contemporary curriculum, to build on the world-class therapeutic service which they offer.
Throughout the week all the children will be involved in a variety of activities to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
